Have you received your stewardship packet? Were you amazed at what your UUCBV has accomplished this past year? I hope you are as excited about what is to come as we are. We are still hoping to have cottage dinners in late February and March. We are keeping a close eye on the CDC recommendations and will keep you posted.
Your financial commitment to the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Brazos Valley is vital to our success as an oasis for our members and beacon for our community. All UU congregations are self-sustaining. We receive no funds from the Unitarian Universalist Association. The total sum of all pledges constitute approximately 90% of our income. This year's goal for financial commitments is $197,508.
As a commitment to this faith, our congregation pledges its "fair share" to the operating fund of our national UU Association. Thus, it is through your financial commitments -- and the fulfillment of those commitments -- that we can uphold our covenant with the UU Association and its congregations, even as we covenant with each other to build and support this beloved community of a liberal and progressive in Bryan/College Station and throughout the world.
As you consider your pledge to our annual operating budget, we ask that you look into your hearts to see how much love, how much generosity, how much faith, and how much gratitude you hold there for our church community and Unitarian Universalism. May your pledge to our annual operating budget represent your commitment to our future. For you and your commitment, we are eternally grateful.
You may complete this your pledge form and mail it to our church office at P O Box 12372, College Station, TX 77842. Please submit/mail by April 8.
Peace and Blessings,
Deb Wilson
Chair of Stewardship
