NURSERY
The nursery is open for ages 0-2 from 10:15-11:50. Loving and trained childcare workers create a welcoming environment for our youngest UUs. Grown ups sign in their child and receive a nursery pager. Children are always allowed in our service if nursery care does not work for your family.
SUNDAY MORNING RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
If you are a child who would like to go to Religious Education and it is OK with your grownups, you will exit the service after the Time for All Ages. Your parents can pick you up from RE after service and you can head to coffee hour. Please see brief group descriptions below:

CHALICE CHILDREN (Ages 2-4)

This community learns about Unitarian Universalism and provides experiences around the strength of community, the wonder and awe that transcend everyday understanding, and life issues we all share. This group is focused on experiential learning and most gatherings feature stories, songs, crafts, and games.

SPIRIT PLAY (Ages 5-7)
Spirit play is based upon Montessori teaching methods and combines ritual and routine with story and artistic expression to learn stories that are important to humankind as a whole and to Unitarian Universalists in particular. We follow the Rainbow Path made up of our UU Values: Equity, Interdependence, Justice, Generosity, Transformation, and Pluralism.

LEGO VALUUES (Ages 8-11)

This group focuses on experiential learning and community building. Each meeting incorporates story, an optional lego build, with optional activities and games if participants prefer. We use LEGO to understand our UU values and welcome everyone who shares those values!
MAX WALTER JETPIG
As part of learning the shared values of Unitarian Universalism, younger UUs named our newest friend, Max Walter (they/them). Max Walter's last name Jetpig is an easy way to remember our values:

J - Justice
E - Equity
T - Transformation
P - Pluralism
I - Interdependence
G - Generosity

Come see if you can find Max Walter Jetpig at Religious Education this Sunday!

SUNDAY MORNING RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Youth ages 12-18 are able to stay in service or attend either the 5th Dimension or Principled Music at 10:30 AM. Please find group descriptions below:

THE FIFTH DIMENSION
The 5th Dimension explores social justice and UUism through the Twilight Zone. Did you know the creator of the Twilight Zone was a Unitarian? Makes sense…each class will watch a classic episode of the Twilight Zone, discuss justice issues presented, and consider how those lessons can inform being in the world today.

PRINCIPLED MUSIC
Principled music uses music from a wide variety of genres from the 1960s to today to discuss social justice issues that many UUs care about. Perhaps the coolest thing about this offering is the construction of a group playlist that is added to throughout the year.

STARTING POINT
If you have never done Soul Matters before or are looking for a good overview of UUism and what small groups are, please consider attending our fall class for adults, Starting Point! During this class, you will learn a bit of UU history, how to discover your own spirituality and theology, and have the option to move into small groups in January. This is for everyone! Whether you just started attending UUCBV or you’ve been here a while and want to re-evaluate your personal experience with UUism. Starting Point meets once a month on the second Sunday at 12PM in the chapel. Childcare available upon request.
