Architectural Town Hall Meeting

Updated: May 26, 2020

The Sacred Space Team (SST) has made Leaps and Bounds progress in the planning of our new Church. On May 31, 2020 at Noon, there will be a ZOOM meeting with Pact Design Studio. (The Meeting will be on PACT DESIGN’S ZOOM account.) The meeting Number and Code should be put on the UUCBV Calendar and should be sent out by email by Thursday May 28 by our secretary. Pact Design is scheduled to present information and an overview of the plans. The City of Bryan should have a copy of the plans the week of May 18-22 to approve or start work to revise them. I thank the members of the SST for all their hard work and all their attention to details as we get one step closer to our mission. We hope to start building in July 2020 and to finish in the summer of 2021.

I also thank Pact Design Studio; Mitchell & Morgan civil engineers; Gessner engineering; attorney Cully Lipsey; Kirkegaard (acoustical consulting); Kerr Surveying; Tangible mowing; Ana Lab Corporation; & Bobby Rialto (landscape architect) for their professional help with our project.

We will soon be looking at Contracts for construction.

I also want to thank the previous members of the Sacred Space Team: John Faber, Sue Bloomfield, and Harriet Smith for their contributions. I thank our current members of the SST: Eleanor Ford; Jerry Wagnon; John Ivy; Joyce Langenegger, Ken Appelt; Molly Ward; Rob McGeachin; Secretary Gaye Webb; and our ex officio member, Rev. Donna Renfro for all their help.
