SWUUWCon Virtual Conference

SWUUWCon "Virtually Unstoppable" - Feb. 26 - 27, 2021

Dear Southwest UU Congregations,

The SWUUWCon Virtual Conference "Virtually Unstoppable" will be held Feb. 26-27, 2021, with online registration opening in late December. We ask that you please use the attached flyers for promotion to your members. We have created vertical and horizontal versions for inclusion in various formats. Please also consider promoting in your weekly online services and/or group meetings. If you need alternative imagery or promotional materials to fit the format of your online service, please reach out to jpurdy@swuuw.org.

Thank you for helping us reach out to the UU women in your congregations.

In Sisterhood,

The SWUUW Board of Directors Conveners, Virtually Unstoppable

A non-profit organization that supports women through worship, learning, leadership, community and social justice, SWUUW addresses women's issues, explores feminist theology, promotes friendships and celebrates the diversities that make us unique women on our individual spiritual paths. SWUUW is an organization open to all UU women, particularly those women in the Southwest District of the Southern Region of the UUA.

SWUUW aligns itself with the spirit of Welcoming Congregations as depicted by the UUA. All who identify as women are welcome. Our definition of "women" is expansive and includes anyone who feels that they belong in this space, including those who identify as nonbinary.

Meet Our Minister

The Rev. Christian Schmidt is our interim minister, and first became a Unitarian Universalist in this congregation where he was an active member from 2006-2009. He has since served congregations in Massachusetts, New Jersey, and California. His interests include his family (including four little boys he and his wife are raising), sports, and theology.    minister@brazos-uu.org
