The Sacred Space Team met 1.21.2019 to discuss planning for the due diligence on 1719 E 29th St. Our Earnest Money Contract for $500,000 has been accepted for the 2.826 acre lot. The title it is clear. Veronica Morgan, engineer, is investigating the water drainage & retention pond issues as all new construction must not cause flooding (more than would occur if no construction were added) on the adjacent properties due to roofs and parking lots decreasing the land that normally would absorb rain water.
We talked about protocol for inspections, working with an architect, choosing an architect, and organizing for visiting with an architect. We discussed green ideas, and Katie’s group to work on sharing and receiving information with the congregation.
