News from the UUWF by Katie Womack, President

Updated: Apr 7, 2020

UUWF hosted the first session on Reproductive Justice during our September meeting. Maya Lazarus led the group of women and men in a fun and educational history timeline activity. We look forward to the next session in October hosted by the Ministry for Social Justice and the Earth Committee, and to hosting the third of six sessions during the November UUWF meeting time.

The UUWF October program on October 20th will be about Green Living. This will be a discussion on how to integrate green practices into our every-day lives. Look for more details in weekly e-cast announcements. All are welcome to attend the participatory exchange of ideas and potluck at noon.

Treasurer, Kathy Wheeler, reminds us that September is the month we are encouraged to pay UUWF annual dues. Dues are only $10 and are still being accepted by mail or in person to Kathy.

All are welcome to UUWF meetings. To be added to the UUWF email list, please contact Nancy, our Church Communications Director at admin@brazos-uu.org.

Meet Our Minister

The Rev. Christian Schmidt is our interim minister, and first became a Unitarian Universalist in this congregation where he was an active member from 2006-2009. He has since served congregations in Massachusetts, New Jersey, and California. His interests include his family (including four little boys he and his wife are raising), sports, and theology.    minister@brazos-uu.org
