Happy Wednesday from RE!

Happy Wednesday!

As we gear up toward the holiday season, many of us look forward to comfort food. I know for myself, potatoes in all forms are one of my favorite parts of Thanksgiving and Christmas! However, it is important to keep in mind that many in our communities do not have access to foods for holidays and many experience food insecurity on a daily basis. In Brazos County, over a third of our children and nearly a third of our seniors experience food insecurity. Join us in RE as we discover how we can be Hunger Helpers in our own community and in the world at large. Don’t forget to collect pantry items for our food drive!

FOOD DRIVE: RE is having a food drive to benefit the Brazos Valley Food Bank. RE Volunteers can pick up items the week of 11/15-11/22. Here is a link to a list of donations that the Food Bank needs the most: https://www.bvfb.org/food-donations-most-needed

REMINDER: RE is participating in the CROP Hunger Walk! Sign up to walk with us either in spirit or at Veteran’s Park at 3 PM on 11/15 (masked).

You may have received our weekly RE email because you have participated in RE before and/or your name is listed on UUCBV’s RE Roster of children and teachers. If you no longer want to be on this email list, please let us know.

Peace and love!
