Green Tip of the Week

Before you purchase a product, think about how the production of the product might have impacted the environment and about how the disposal of the product and its packaging material is likely to impact the environment. Take clothing for example. It takes 400 gallons of water to produce a t-shirt. Most of it goes into raising the cotton needed for a single shirt. And it takes about 1,800 gallons to produce one pair of blue jeans.
