Music is an important element of the UU Faith. Guest musicians make regular appearances in our variety of worship formats and ceremonies.  If you would like to contribute your musical talents, please contact with the subject line "Music at Brazos UU".

Talented Musicians in the UUCBV

The UUCBV is blessed to have many talented musicians.  From composing to performing, listen for yourself to hear sounds of UUCBV.

Singing the Living Ukulele Workshops

Usually a two hour event, it begins with basic ukulele techniques but will have music to challenge more advanced players as well. We will provide a songbook to take home and some light snacks and are asking for a donation to cover expenses and to raise funds to support our music program at the UUCBV. Special pricing on packages including instruments is available by request so please do not miss out on the joy of singing and playing with a room full of ukes!

Stay TUNED to our blog to find out when our next Ukulele workshop will be.

Meet Our Minister

The Rev. Christian Schmidt is our interim minister, and first became a Unitarian Universalist in this congregation where he was an active member from 2006-2009. He has since served congregations in Massachusetts, New Jersey, and California. His interests include his family (including four little boys he and his wife are raising), sports, and theology.
