Let My People Vote Event at Capitol

An important rally and citizens’ lobby is planned for Monday, July 19th entitled “Let My People Vote”. The principal sponsor is Texas Impact, an interfaith group of which we are a part of through Texas UU Justice Ministry. We hope to see lots of yellow Side with Love T-shirts at the Capitol.

This event includes 8:30 AM election training with the League of Women Voters, a rally from 11 AM to noon, and then legislative visits in the afternoon. Breakfast and a box lunch will be provided. For those able to head over to Austin overnight, there is an optional dinner program Sunday evening.

To register or get more information, click here: https://texasimpact.org/let-my-people-vote-rally/. If you are interested in carpooling, we can organize to park in BCS and leave at 7 AM to arrive in Austin in time for the election training and breakfast. Let Jerry Wagnon know if you are interested (email below).
