Olga Kuchment joined UUCBV in 2017 and became a voting member in 2019. Since finding UUCBV, she has been grateful for this welcoming community and has looked for ways to support it. A love of coffee and snacks quickly steered Olga towards becoming a Radical Hospitality volunteer. She has served as organizer of the Radical Hospitality Team since 2020. Olga was the Organizer of the Radical Hospitality Team pre-pandemic. When we finally were able to have in-person services, Olga did not skip a beat and jumped right back in. She can be seen quietly moving around in the kitchen during services. She makes our food, coffee and snacks happen without asking for any accolades or a pat on the back. She is the best example of what our church is all about. Olga, along with four others, recently served on a Call Process Task Force regarding calling Reverend Kiya to settled ministry with our church.
For these reasons and others, the Board of Trustees proudly presents Olga Kuchment with the UUCBV Jesse Coon Award for the 2021-22 church year. Congratulations, Olga!
