All Ages Religious Education Class

Class is held from 10:00 to 10:25p.m.  The Unitarian Universalist Association has developed a set of curricula for lifespan faith development called Tapestry of Faith. Tapestry of Faith draws on our six sources:

 

  • Unitarian Universalist heritage & prophetic people

  • Christianity & Judaism

  • World Religions

  • Science & Humanism

  • Earth Centered/Pagan

  • Direct experience of awe

Nursery (not available at this time)

For those who do not wish to sit in pews, there is an activity table at the back of the Sanctuary with books, coloring pages and crafts. There is also a reading corner with pillows. For those sitting in pews there are “busy bags” and clipboards available near the entrance. These are stocked with paper, crayons, stickers and coloring pages. 

 

Order of Service

Service begins at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings

The elements of the worship service are typically:

  • Prelude

  • Welcome

  • Opening Words and Lighting of the Chalice

  • Opening Hymn

  • Unison Affirmation

  • Time for All Ages

  • Offering

  • Prayer

  • Hymn

  • Readings

  • Anthem

  • Sermon

  • Closing hymn

  • Benediction

Easter Egg Hunt and Potluck

The RE Committee invites the congregation to our traditional Easter egg hunt and potluck.

Egg Hunt: RE will provide eggs to hunt and prizes. Children should bring their own baskets. The hunt will take place during coffee hour. Parents can monitor the prizes children receive in exchange for eggs.

Trick or Treat for UNICEF in October

Children in costume will trick or treat for UNICEF. Adults bring your change! 

 UNICEF is mandated by the United Nations General Assembly to advocate for the protection of children's rights, to help meet their basic needs and to expand their opportunities to reach their full potential.

All Ages December Pageant

“Would You Like To Hold the Baby?”  No Rehearsal Costumed Christmas pageant for all ages,  written by Unitarian Universalist  Joyce Poley. Hear the traditional story from a Unitarian  Universalist perspective,  with congregants of all ages acting out the messages.
