Planning ahead? Consider a green burial. It is an environmentally sustainable practice where the body is returned to the earth in a simple shroud or biodegradable casket and allowed to decompose naturally and be recycled into new life. For example, Eloise Woods Community Natural Burial Park in Cedar Creek (between Bastrop and San Marcos) is a green cemetery in our part of Texas.
